The Beauty of Uncertainty
Reality
has the major issue of has a probability of one. Thus, reality does not allow
one to hesitate. Things are exactly and just what they are. We are merely facts
and we are defenseless against reality – You are not here, I am not there – that
is it! Interestingly, reality has the bright site of simplicity: that is it!
just that! just it! No more (sadly), no less (fortunately). But, (and this is a
major but) the brain (our brain) does not work in that way. Brain takes reality
just like any other piece of information, of the same value that all the possible
(and impossible) alternative scenarios have. Yes, no all of them have “exactly”
the same value, but brain shapes memories to assign different values,
molding reality to brain’s will for good or for worse (being these two words
also simplifications of complex meanings). Even more, brain takes reality and
alternatives scenarios to create one thousand and one possible futures, one
thousand and one different nights, as the one thousand and one tales from the
desert of Sheherezade. These futures are unreal of course, but beautifully they
still have, each of them, even if unlikely, those futures still have a
probability.
